Maintenance and minibus driver in a dementia care home
To keep the home in a state of good. To undertake any repairs to the home as may be necessary and wherever practical to do so. Maintain Health and Safety regulations in the home, to test and check the Fire alarms on a regular basis. Decorating skills is a must and knowledge with electrics and plumbing. The maintenance is four days a week
one days a week minibus role is to support our homes in leigh to take residents out with help from care staff we are a Residential and Dementia care home .They will work with the team at each site to facilitate planned events, day trips, and short outings to local shops and restaurants.part of the job will also be to help push a wheelchair on day tripsWe’re looking for somebody with great people skills and a flexible approach.Good organisation skills will also be key, as you will need to manage your diary for bookings across the homes you’ll support.The successful applicant will also be responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and tidy and completing monthly vehicle checks to ensure any issues or defects are reported.Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expenses will be met by the applicant. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults.All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.Experience / Qualification:MUST have Category D1 on your driving license to drive a Minibus.
we have a pet ducks at the care home and in your job role you be asked to hose them down daily
