About Us
Breaker Surfacing Ltd is a growing surfacing and groundworks contractor delivering high-quality commercial and domestic projects across Lincolnshire and throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Tarmac Surfacing Operative to join our expanding team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude, and is committed to producing high-quality surfacing.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of hand lay and machine lay tarmac surfacing.
- Assist with preparation works, regulating, edging and finishing.
- Rake, lute and compact asphalt to a high standard.
- Work safely alongside paving machines, rollers and other surfacing plant.
- Carry out kerbing, ironwork adjustments and associated surfacing works where required.
- Maintain company vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in hand lay and machine lay tarmac surfacing.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Ability to travel to and from our yard in Whaplode, Lincolnshire each working day.
- CIS Self-Employed status.
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
- Able to work well as part of a team and maintain high standards of workmanship.
Desirable (but not Essential)
- Roller qualification.
- CPCS or NPORS plant tickets.
- NRSWA Street Works qualification.
- Experience operating paving machines or other surfacing equipment.
