Support Worker required for small home in Exeter, enabling 3 gentlemen at home and in the community. The shifts are 24 hours and include a sleep night of £67.50 a night. You will be expected to be available for every day during the week and at weekends. You will be required to cover 2 shifts a week in a rota system and help cover annual leave and sickness.
We are looking for individuals who have at least 2 years experience and understanding of supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues. We are looking for individuals who have experience of working alone, able to prepare and cook from scratch, administer medication, carry out household duties to a high standard and support the individuals at appointments and for trips out. The candidate would also need to be competent at using the computer to access training and reading the Policies & Procedures.
We also ask for at least an NVQ or QCF level 2.
As a small company we do not offer sponsorship.
The clients are independently mobile and attend day services outside the home. You will be required to support them in their home and out in the communities. You must be self motivated and show initiative as this role is lone working.
Your DBS check will be funded by ourselves as well as full ongoing training to support your continuing professional development.
