Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's experience working with sourdough in a commercial bakery environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bread & pastries
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
- Ensure all baked goods are presented attractively for display or sale.
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times while working in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen or bakery setting with a focus on food preparation and baking.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A creative mindset with a passion for baking and cooking.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required.
