Applicants must:
- Be 18 years or over due to the sale and service of alcohol
- Have previous waiting/hospitality experience
- Be reliable, friendly and able to work well as part of a team
- Not be a student, as we are looking for someone with suitable ongoing availability
This is a part-time position only, although additional/overtime hours may be offered when available.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide menu recommendations with enthusiasm
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food handling and serving processes
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to deliver quality dishes efficiently
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management and organization skills
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment, including clearing tables and restocking supplies
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred
- Knowledge of serving techniques, food safety regulations, and basic food preparation is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, guest-focused attitude
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately
- Kitchen experience or culinary knowledge is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
