Job Summary
Technical production planning for a specialist UK manufacturer of heat exchangers and associated packaged systems. You will be responsible for completion of production job sheets and production schedule, following hand over from sales department, to ensure products are completed correctly, on time, within required costings and deadlines.
Main Duties
· Creation and issuing of job sheets and bill of materials to production.
· Vetting customer terms & conditions of purchase when certain criteria are met.
· Issuing of documentation (drawings, O&M manuals, test certificates etc.) to clients.
· Placing orders to suppliers for job specific parts and component when required.
· Monitoring of on order parts to ensure delivery schedule accomplishment.
· Manage build schedule and allocate build hours to meet on time delivery.
· Use of project management tools to ensure successful completion of projects.
· Liaising with other departments, suppliers and customers.
· Handling any customer complaints and escalating to correct people / department.
· Providing technical support to customers where required.
· Partner with peers to identify any risk to customer deliveries commitments and drive through to resolution.
· Assistance with 6-monthly stock take, checking and adjusting stock control program.
· Advising admin team, the necessary info so they can Acknowledge Sales Orders directly to customers and provide a promised delivery date based on product lead time, material availability and production capacity
· Providing customers with status updates to their orders as required.
· Reviewing client terms and conditions of purchase to check for conflict with our own terms and conditions of sale. Liaising with the customer to reach agreed terms.
· Regularly review, update and communicate lead times to the Sales department.
· Support Operations to identify and undertake actions to reduce product lead times, increase productivity and maximise output.

Qualifications & Competencies
· Technical knowledge of General Engineering, including pipework & fittings.
· Qualifications in an engineering discipline would be an advantage.
· Previous experience in production planning (manufacturing) would be an advantage.
· Experience of vetting terms & conditions would be an advantage.
· Engineering Graduates will also be considered.
Key Skills
· Attention to detail and highly organised (vital for this role)
· Fluent spoken and written English
· Proficient in MS Office suite
