Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
1) Meet and greet customers
2) Get customer’s details for bookings
3) Coordinate with the mechanics the job and parts that are needed
4) Order parts and book customers in for the job
5) Check parts and organize them, including returns
6) Receive supplier invoices, pay suppliers, filing of invoices and receipts, and encoding to the garage software system to update the customers job sheets
7) Encoding and update of customer payments and workshop expense
8) Follow up on mechanical work and parts if necessary
9) Encode job sheet to the garage software system for invoicing, check customer MOT dates to add on reminders
10) Contact customers their vehicle is ready for collection and receive payments
11) Check next day or week’s bookings and order parts at least 2 days before booking to make sure parts are available
12) Basic accounting, sales and expenses for encoding on the garage software every 2 weeks or end of the month, bank statement
13) VAT returns
14) Filing Annual Account statement for HMRC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
