Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality care within our home care service. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising care staff, ensuring the well-being of service users, and maintaining compliance with care standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and support care staff to deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual service user’s needs
- Oversee daily operations within the community homecare service, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary
- Assist in the development and review of care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations, health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and legal requirements
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive team environment characterised by excellent communication skills
- Coordinate staff rotas, organise training sessions, and support professional development initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation related to service user care and staff records using IT systems
- Liaise with families, healthcare providers, and external agencies to ensure holistic outcome focused person centred support
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within the care sector essential homecare experience or senior care environment
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the care sector
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach towards all stakeholders and staff
- Valid driving licence is essential for supporting and managing the team within the community setting or attending external meetings as required
- Experience in developing and managing person centred care plans effectively
- Good IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Knowledge of CQC inspection, regulation and relevant health & safety legislation, safeguarding procedures, and compliance standards
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as needed within the care setting, including alternate weekends on-call
- Ability to effectively support and manage the responsibility of being on-call during out of office hours

Essential; NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and social Care

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
