About the Role:
London is one of the world’s leading commercial centres, and at Arabian Reliance Group, we help organisations build stronger partnerships, improve commercial performance, and develop sustainable growth strategies across the UK and international markets.
We are looking for a Commercial Director who can take ownership of our commercial strategy and lead the development of new business opportunities. You will work closely with senior leadership, clients, partners, and operational teams to increase revenue, strengthen key accounts, and ensure that our commercial activities support the company’s long-term objectives.
You will not simply manage sales targets. You will shape how the organisation approaches markets, evaluates opportunities, negotiates agreements, and builds lasting client relationships.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our London-based team operates in a professional and collaborative environment where commercial ideas are encouraged and senior leaders remain accessible. You will work with experienced colleagues across business development, client services, finance, and operations.
Strategic Influence:
You will have a meaningful role in company planning and decision-making. Your commercial recommendations will directly influence investment priorities, service development, partnerships, and market expansion.
International Outlook:
Arabian Reliance Group works with clients and partners from different markets and business sectors. The role offers exposure to UK and international commercial opportunities.
Professional Growth:
You will be supported in developing your leadership, negotiation, and strategic management capabilities through relevant industry events, professional programmes, and senior-level networking opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy:
Develop and implement the company’s commercial strategy in line with revenue targets, market conditions, and long-term business objectives.
Business Development:
Identify and secure new business opportunities through strategic partnerships, client engagement, market research, and senior-level relationship building.
Revenue Management:
Monitor commercial performance, sales pipelines, account profitability, and revenue forecasts. Introduce corrective actions where performance falls below expectations.
Contract Negotiation:
Lead negotiations for major client agreements, supplier contracts, service partnerships, and commercial terms while protecting the company’s financial and operational interests.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, decision-makers, and business partners. Ensure that major accounts receive a consistent and professional level of service.
Team Leadership:
Lead and support commercial, business development, and account management employees. Set clear objectives, review performance, and promote a results-focused working culture.
Market Analysis:
Evaluate market trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and emerging commercial opportunities. Use these findings to guide business planning and service development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with finance, operations, marketing, legal, and client services teams to ensure that commercial commitments can be delivered effectively and profitably.
Executive Reporting:
Provide senior leadership with accurate reports covering revenue performance, forecasts, commercial risks, major opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
Risk and Compliance:
Ensure that commercial activities, negotiations, and agreements follow relevant company policies, contractual requirements, and UK regulatory standards.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 8 years of experience in commercial management, business development, corporate services, account management, or a related field, including significant experience in a senior leadership position.
Commercial Track Record:
Demonstrated success in generating revenue, securing major accounts, negotiating high-value agreements, and developing profitable commercial partnerships.
Leadership:
Strong experience leading commercial teams, setting performance objectives, mentoring managers, and creating accountability across business functions.
Financial Understanding:
Excellent understanding of budgets, revenue forecasting, pricing strategies, profit margins, commercial reporting, and contract performance.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to present proposals and commercial recommendations to senior executives, clients, and external partners.
Negotiation Skills:
Proven ability to lead complex commercial negotiations, resolve competing priorities, and achieve balanced outcomes for the company and its clients.
Strategic Mindset:
You can assess the wider commercial impact of decisions while remaining focused on practical implementation and measurable results.
