This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Care Practitioner with a desire to lead and manage staff within an established CQC rated 'Outstanding' Service and a professional and successful organisation.
Horizon Healthcare Homes provides person focused support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The successful candidates will report directly to the Registered Manager of Windsor Court respectively and will deputise in their absence. These are varied role that involves delivering direct support to the people that we support as well as offering strong leadership to and management of a committed and well-established staff team. The salary is negotiable dependent upon experience / qualifications.
Deputy Manager Responsibilities
As the Deputy Manager of Windsor Court, your duties will include:
- Providing guidance and support to all staff, both informally and formally via the supervision and appraisal systems
- Supporting the service manager with day to day organisation and effective running of the service
- Developing and maintaining relationships with the individuals we support, staff, outside agencies and within the local community
- Ensuring the safety, well-being, dignity and respect of all the individuals that we support
- Behaving proactively and being responsive to individual needs of the people that we support and the service as a whole
- Being effective in all aspects of the way we work
- Work in a caring and empathetic way
- Leading the team with the common goal and interests of the individuals we support at the forefront of everything we do
- Provide a warm and homely environment for the individuals we support
- To take overall responsibility of the home in the absence of the service manager
- To ensure that the individuals we support are cared for in accordance with the ethos, policies and practices of Horizon Healthcare Homes Ltd and within the regulatory standards set out within the Care Standards Act and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.
Deputy Manager Experience
To be successful in the Deputy Manager role, you will have experience of delivering support to a high standard within a social care setting and have some experience of leading individuals and teams within a residential care setting. You will have knowledge and experience of the regulatory standards and of the inspection process carried out by the Care Quality Commission.
