The Vacancy -
We are excited to be launching Soha Improves, a new service redesign function focused on transforming services around resident outcomes. We are looking for a highly capable and delivery-focused Project Manager (on a fixed term contract basis for 6 months) to play a central role in making this ambition a reality.
This role reports into our Head of Resident Experience, who has responsibility for resident experience, organisational learning and service improvement.
Role Summary
Soha Improves is focused on redesigning services end-to-end, shaped by resident experience, data and insight, and delivered at pace to achieve measurable outcomes.
As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-impact service redesign projects. You will ensure projects are well-governed, on track, and delivering benefits, while working with colleagues across disciplines including service design, digital, insight and communications.
This role sits at the centre of complex change programmes, requiring strong project delivery skills alongside the ability to work collaboratively across operational teams and specialist functions to embed sustainable improvements.
This role is on a fixed term contract basis for 6 months.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Delivery of projects & programmes
-
Lead the end-to-end delivery of service redesign projects within Soha Improves, ensuring projects are clearly scoped, governed and delivered against agreed milestones and outcomes
-
Manage risks, dependencies and resources to keep projects on track
-
Support robust benefits tracking, to ensure projects remain focused on achieving measurable operational, financial or resident outcomes, not just completing activities
-
Support director sponsors and programme leadership with clear information and insights
Establishing the Soha Improves methodology
-
Help develop, codify and apply the Soha Improves methodology across projects: translating complex service challenges into clear problem statements and delivery plans, working closely with operational teams to redesign end-to-end resident journeys and testing and measuring the impact of changes
-
Ensure each stage is evidence-led and focused on improving resident outcomes, including engaging with a broader range of residents
-
Support test-and-learn approaches, ensuring changes are validated before scaling
-
Embed continuous improvement so projects deliver sustained change, not one-off interventions
Working across teams and disciplines
-
Collaborate closely with everyone involved in the projects and act as a connector – understanding the needs and skills of each person and communicating both the process and the positive outcomes from projects
-
Supporting Service Managers to embed redesigned processes into day-to-day operations
-
Moving beyond consultation, to work with residents in co-production approaches
-
Working with senior leaders and sponsors to maintain pace and quality of change
Governance, Insight & Reporting
-
Establishing clear governance structures, documentation and controls for each project
-
Tracking performance against KPIs, benefits and outcomes
-
Using data and insight to support decision-making and prioritisation
-
Maintaining clear audit trails and evidence of impact
What We’re Looking For
Experience
-
Proven experience delivering complex projects or programmes, ideally within service redesign, transformation or continuous improvement
-
Experience working across multiple stakeholders, functions and disciplines
-
Experience of delivering change that improves customer or resident outcomes
-
Experience of working in data-led environments, using insight to shape delivery
Knowledge & Skills
-
Strong project management capability (e.g. planning, governance, risk management, reporting)
-
Strong understanding of service redesign, continuous improvement or human-centred design approaches (eg. agile, iterative, outcome-led delivery)
-
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
-
Ability to work at pace while maintaining structure and quality
-
Analytical skills, with confidence interpreting performance and insight data
Personal Qualities
-
Highly organised, delivery-focused and accountable
-
Collaborative and comfortable working across disciplines and teams
-
Curious and improvement-focused, with a strong problem-solving mindset
-
Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced change environment
-
Committed to improving outcomes for residents and supporting colleagues through change
