About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and committed Responsible Individual (RI) to join our organisation as we prepare to open a high-quality children’s residential home in Accrington.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a company with ambitious plans for growth, offering the chance to play a key role in shaping our service from the very beginning. The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and delivers exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the Responsible Individual in accordance with Ofsted regulations.
* Provide oversight, governance and strategic leadership for the home.
* Support and supervise the Registered Manager.
* Monitor quality, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
* Carry out regular quality assurance visits and complete Regulation 45 reports.
* Ensure policies, procedures and systems remain compliant with legislation.
* Promote a positive culture focused on achieving outstanding outcomes for children.
* Liaise with Ofsted and other external professionals when required.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Responsible Individual or substantial senior management experience within children’s residential care.
* Thorough understanding of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to provide strategic guidance while supporting operational teams.
