The position
Reporting to the Senior Manager – UK&I Accounting and Consolidation, the role is responsible for supporting the team to deliver accurate monthly and annual financial reporting for all UK & Ireland based financial entities, and the wider RES Group consolidation. The newly created role will support the team to consolidate the financial position, ensure all intercompany transactions are appropriately eliminated and help to ensure that the RES Group financials are accurately reported to Management on a timely basis.
The role will also support in the preparation of statutory financial statements for UK&I based legal entities, and support in the preparation of the consolidated group financial statements for the RES Holding entity, based in the UK.
There will also be opportunities to work on projects which focus on simplifying current processes with the implementation of our new ERP system.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Key responsibilities

Prepare the UK monthly consolidation packs, including the Profit and Loss account, cash flow statement and balance sheet for UK&I entities;

Support in the consolidation of the Group financials on a monthly basis, for both P&L and balance sheets;

Prepare the statutory financials for UK based entities, and support in preparation of the consolidated statutory group financial statements;

Play a significant role in the UK audit, supporting with auditor queries and providing supporting documentation as required;

Own the monthly accounting for leases across the UK entities;

Support in reconciling intercompany transactions;

Support with ad hoc tasks i.e. 3rd party information requests.
Knowledge and skills

Good working knowledge of accounting under IFRS and FRS102

Good knowledge of financial systems

Organized with good time management skills

Tenacity and attention to detail to deliver high quality financial information

Work autonomously and be proactive to meet routine internal reporting deadlines

Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Experience

Experience with financial systems. IFS system knowledge would be advantageous but not essential

Experience working as or with external auditors
Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
