*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team as part of our Swim:Ed team based around Leeds and Kirklees areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming and educating Primary School children on water safety and swimming techniques in line with the National Curriculum. Working hours are Monday to Friday - approximately 09:00-16:00 depending on the school hours.
*Duties*
- Provide swim lessons to individuals or groups of varying ages and skill levels
- Implement our lesson planning and tailor to the needs of each swimmer
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment in the pool area
- Evaluate swimmers' progress and provide constructive feedback
- Promote water safety practices and awareness
- Maintain accurate records of swimmers' progress
*Skills*
- Ability to educate and instruct individuals effectively
- Previous experience in sports coaching or swim instruction is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact with swimmers and their families
- Lifeguard certification is desirable but not essential. It must be in place before the start date.
