MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Roaming Relief Chef is responsible for providing high-quality culinary support across multiple sites, covering periods of absence, increased demand, or operational need. This role ensures continuity, consistency, and high standards in food preparation and kitchen operations across all locations
GENERIC KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide kitchen cover for holidays, sickness, and peak business periods
- Work across multiple sites as required, often at short notice
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with company standards
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Support existing kitchen teams and integrate effectively into new environments
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Assist with stock control, rotation, and minimising food waste
- Follow all menu specifications and adapt where necessary based on site needs
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment at all times
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new teams and kitchens
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Flexibility to travel between sites and work varied shifts
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel regularly between locations
- Able to respond to short-notice scheduling requirements
- Relevant food hygiene certification (Level 2 minimum, Level 3 preferred)
