Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Qualified CBT Therapist or Clinical Psychologist to join the well-established Basingstoke Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) that work with Children and Young people and their families in schools within this area. You will be based in Basingstoke but will be part of a wider MHST team across Mid-North Hampshire to include MHST teams covering East Hants, Winchester and Test Valley areas. You will work with the other clinical leads in these areas and contribute to supporting all the teams. This may include travel across all areas as required, and wider within the county.
The MHST service aligns with the Thrive model within Hampshire CAMHS and as part of the 'Getting Help' provision will be working closely with other MHSTs in the region as well as the Community CAMHS teams.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
The postholder will have completed the CBT supervisor training course. You will oversee the low intensity and high intensity clinicians working within the Basingstoke MHST teams and contribute to effective governance in the service. A passion and motivation for working with young people, families and schools is essential.
You would be offering assessments and interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. As part of this role, you would contribute to the core work of the team including supporting the delivery of the Whole Schools Approach work.
You will receive regular supervision and will have opportunities to link with other specialist practitioners in the trust, as well as access training opportunities offered by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Essential
- A recognised post graduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (or equivalent).
- Accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).
- A recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions recognised by BABCP, e.g. psychiatric nursing, clinical psychology, medicine, social work, occupational therapy or counselling AND current registration with the core professional body, OR evidence of having achieved the Knowledge Skills and Attitudes (KSA) route to BABCP accreditation.
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development.
- Evidence of post qualification training in clinical supervision relevant to service provision
