Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering excellent customer service. Candidates must possess a valid driving licence and have previous experience in commercial driving or delivery roles. A clean driving record and the ability to operate flatbed vehicles are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company Maxi Vans, to deliver goods to clients and customers.
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and timeliness.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring they are secured during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and punctual at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record (6 points Maximum).
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries within designated timeframes.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Physically capable of loading, unloading, and handling goods safely.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
