As a Visual Manager, you are accountable for delivering The White Company’s visual brand vision across the store. You lead visual execution while partnering with Store Management to ensure presentation, storytelling, and space support commercial performance and customer experience.
This role represents progression from supervising visual standards to delivering visual impact and capability across the whole store. You combine creative leadership with commercial awareness, partnering closely with the Store Management Team to translate trading priorities into impactful visual execution and inspire teams to maintain the highest standards.
Customer and Brand Experience
- Act as a senior visual brand guardian, ensuring the store consistently reflects seasonal direction and brand storytelling.
- Create inspiring visual environments that enhance customer flow, engagement, and confidence.
- Ensure visual standards elevate the overall customer experience and support confidence in product choice.
- Lead by example on the shop floor, reinforcing calm, considered, and premium brand presentation.
- Ensure seasonal messaging is clearly conveyed through layout, presentation, and storytelling.
People and Culture: Leading the Team
- Embed a strong visual training culture, ensuring standards are understood and maintained beyond visual change days.
- Lead, train, and inspire store teams to deliver consistent visual excellence and retail standards.
- Build strong visual capability across the team through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations.
- Partner with Store Management to align visual priorities with wider store goals.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture where pride in presentation is shared.
- Support the development of Visual Supervisors and other team members, building succession and capability
Operational and Commercial Excellence: Driving Performance
- Lead delivery of all window and in-store visual merchandising in line with company direction.
- Execute weekly Visual Focus actions and seasonal updates with precision.
- Review visual performance using sales data and customer insight, adapting layouts to maximise impact.
- Ensure all current seasonal product is represented, replenished, and presented to drive sell-through.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and safe ways of working.
- Support peak trading preparation through strong visual planning and execution.
- Act as a keyholder when required, supporting opening, closing, and operational procedures.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance during all visual activity and support out-of-hours work when required, including new store openings.
- Proven experience in a visual leadership role within retail.
- Strong creative eye combined with commercial awareness.
- Confident influencing and developing others.
- Highly organised and adaptable.
