Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and comfort across our fabulous seaside property. In this vital role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, ensure high standards of hygiene, and manage a team of housekeeping staff to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and quality control measures to ensure consistent service delivery
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote professional growth and teamwork
- Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring cost-effective usage
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to verify cleanliness standards are met or exceeded
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices, chemical handling, and equipment operation
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning projects or event setups as needed
Skills
- Extensive experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings
- Proven expertise in floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, tile maintenance, and polishing surfaces
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of housekeeping or janitorial staff
- Knowledge of hotel industry standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management
- Effective communication skills to train staff and collaborate across departments
