Are you a Sous Chef or a Chef de Partie looking for a step up? Have you experience working in a catering environment? Imagine working in a professional kitchen producing gorgeous, highly commended plant based food for top clients while working sociable hours like these; Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm.
We’re a different kind of business that’s looking for a different kind of assistant chef.
Not only will you be working sociable hours, but you'll be working for a company making positive environmental and social impacts in our award winning, fabulous building called Shine. Check us out at https://www.shinecollective.co.uk
"Everything was really, really good. We loved the food, the room, and the Shine Way.” -- Business Director at a national firm
You will be making food for our clients using our space along with those ordering food to their sites around Leeds. You will be working with Matt, our Head Chef, both on and off-site to provide the Shine food experience. We can’t wait to have you helping create delicious food for established brand names, start-ups, and innovative public sector clients, because you’re dynamic, friendly, skilled, and enthusiastic about food.
As Shine’s Sous Chef, you will report to our Head Chef and work directly with the shine team and clients.
If you like the sound of this gig so far, here’s some more detailed info on what you’ll be doing at Shine:
- Making delicious food from scratch: Most of our food is made from scratch in our own kitchen and sourced locally and organic where possible. The few items we procure are selected for meeting our high standards. And we review our menus quarterly to ensure we’ve always got a seasonal selection.
- Preparing gorgeous plates, boxes, and retail packages of the food you just made from scratch: Our kitchen makes and prepares foodfor the catering operation, which includes catering for our meetings, café, and off-site clients. The food needs to look as good as it tastes and portioned correctly to ensure profitability.
- Championing food safety: Following safe food storage and handling, while maintaining SHINE’s 5 Star Food Hygiene Standard. In addition to standard food guidelines, our kitchen is audited annually by two of our large corporate clients.
- Resourceful, positive, helpful, and creative: Working with the team to delight customers. Controlling wastage and stock. Supporting the Head Chef, especially in his absence. Giving input to product development. Helping with deliveries for off-site catering orders.
All of this helps us to provide...
