The Hurtwood Inn is a busy country pub and hotel in the heart of Peaslake. We serve up local beers and food, with a menu consisting of a mixture of pub classics and hearty Italian meals. We are at the centre of the Surrey Hills' mountain biking scene and so are especially busy in the good weather and on the weekends!
YOUR ROLE
As Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the other members of the managerial team, being a friendly face to customers as well as taking on responsibilities to help promote and improve the pub operations. There will also be opportunities to work external events in our pizza van - a fun change of pace!
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least a year of managerial experience in a similar role is essential
- Passionate about great customer service and being a friendly face to regulars
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Being able to work effectively while managing, and being a part of, the team
- Good attention to detail, are proactive and want to get stuck in
- Must be competent to open and close the pub
- Passion for and experience with running social media pages would be an added bonus!

SCHEDULE
- We can offer 35 - 40 hrs per week
- Weekend availability is a must
- Must be able to be flexible and do a range of shifts throughout the week
