Maritime Cargo Services are looking to recruit a Freight-Forwarder to join our busy and friendly Import team. If you are keen to progress your career in Shipping within an established and expanding company then this could be the perfect role for you.
The Role:-
As part of the Import team you will be responsible for managing Import Shipments for a wide diversity of products for clients based in the UK, Europe and Worldwide.
Daily tasks will include:-
Handling paperwork (Bills of Lading etc.) and correctly inputting / updating our systems.
Liaising with shipping lines to obtain releases and handling any charges due.
Arranging and managing deliveries throughout the UK
Contacting Clients and delivery points
Essential Criteria:-
Experience of the logistics industry
Accounts knowledge
Excellent customer service skills (both email and telephone)
Ability to work well under pressure and to prioritise your workload
Good IT skills
