Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our head chef in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and general kitchen duties to ensure smooth operation in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
- Support the catering team in preparing ingredients and organising kitchen stations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and surfaces.
- Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring proper presentation and portion control.
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance where required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen environment.
