Machine Operators – Automotive Manufacturing
Location: Portsmouth
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for longer-term opportunities)
Pay:
- Rotating Day Shift (Mon–Fri, 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm): £15.49 per hour
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting Machine Operators to join a prestigious automotive parts manufacturer based in Portsmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy mould shop environment within a well-established company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and presses to produce car parts
- Physically demanding tasks, including climbing into presses to remove parts
- Use of hand tools such as hammers and other basic equipment
- Handling heavy components safely
- Sorting and inspecting parts
- General housekeeping duties, including cleaning the shop floor and maintaining a safe work area
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Reliable, hard-working, and safety-conscious
- Able to work well as part of a team
Shifts Available:
- Rotating Days: Monday to Friday, 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm (weekly rotation)
