Learning Support Assistant (Temporary)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 4:30pm | Friday 9:00am to 2:00pm
Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant on behalf of our client to support young people participating in training and employability programmes.
This is a temporary agency position expected to run until September 2027.
You will provide learning and disability support to young people aged 16-22 undertaking programmes including Training for Success and Apprenticeships NI.

Provide one-to-one and group support for learners with additional needs.

Assist tutors to ensure learners can fully engage in training activities.

Support participants to develop confidence, independence, and motivation.

Maintain accurate records and monitor learner progress.

Work closely with programme teams to support positive outcomes.

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), including Maths and English.

Experience supporting individuals to achieve goals or progress into education, training, or employment.

Experience working with young people and/or individuals with additional support needs.

Good communication, organisational, and IT skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible approach to work.

Temporary agency role through Staffline Recruitment Ireland.

Travel to various locations may be required.

Enhanced Access NI check required.

Candidates must complete and pass an online entrance assessment before interview stage.

A mandatory 2.5-hour induction in Newry is required.
