Jackson Steel Structures Limited is currently seeking a Production Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in Dundee, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to become part of a growing steel fabrication and erection company.
Working closely with the Production Director, you will provide support across a range of production and technical activities, including NC file management, estimating, data transfer and production administration.
We are looking for a computer-literate and technically minded individual with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn. An engineering or manufacturing background would be an advantage, particularly if you have experience with technical drawings, estimating, NC files, production systems or engineering terminology. However, this is not essential, as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Director with day-to-day production activities and planning.
- Work with NC files and associated production information.
- Carry out accurate and efficient data transfer between relevant systems.
- Assist with estimating and the preparation of project and production information.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of information required for steel fabrication.
- Ensure production and technical information is transferred accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support communication between production, engineering and management to ensure information is readily available.
- Maintain accurate records, files and databases as required.
- Assist with general production administration and other duties as required.
Skills
- Must be computer literate, confident using computers.
- Someone who is dependable, organised, proactive with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
- Have good attention to detail and be comfortable working with data and technical information.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
