We have an exciting new vacancy for a Head Chef to join our team at The Britannia Hotel in Manchester city centre! Our 363-room, Grade II listed hotel is ideally situated on the busy Portland Street, opposite Piccadilly Gardens bus station and just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station making it ideal for commuting.

Your main duties will include:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality.
- Working closely with the kitchen team to prepare and present diverse buffet menus featuring a wide range of cuisines.
- Ensuring all menu items are fully stocked and replenished throughout service to maintain a seamless dining experience.
- Designing and rotating cost-effective menus that offer a wide variety of options that will meet guest expectations.
- Ensuring compliance with all hygiene, food safety, and quality standards at all times.
- Managing inventory, overseeing food deliveries, and maintaining effective stock control to support cost efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passionate and experienced chef with a proven track record in a culinary setting.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management and communication skills.
- A creative approach to menu design and presentation, bringing fresh ideas to every dish.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality and high standards.
- Must be flexible to work 5 out of 7 days and willing to cover split shifts when required.
Experience creating and developing menus, with a creative approach to introducing new dishes and expanding food offerings, would be highly advantageous.
