We are looking to recruit a Nursery & Pre-School After School Supervisor to join our team at Coopersale Hall School in Epping. The successful candidate will have a personable manner, patience and will be able to engage with children of all ages while carrying out general activities.
The hourly rate for the position is £13.90 per hour. The hours will be from 3pm until 6pm Mondays to Fridays throughout the year over 52 weeks of the year, with 5 weeks' holiday (including a 2-week Christmas shutdown).
Candidates should hold an appropriate Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification. First Aid, Food Handling and Manual Handling training will also be provided. The successful candidate should be able to drive or make their way to Coopersale Hall in Epping in time for the start of each shift.
The role is to start from new academic year in September 2026.

Main Purpose of the Role

- To be aware of responsibilities under the School’s Child Protection Policy and to report any concerns to the appropriate person as soon as they occur.
Administration:
- To help with paperwork where required.
- To plan and provide activities and play opportunities to develop children’s emotional, physical, social and intellectual capabilities.
- To help ensure that appropriate records are kept and to share records about individual children with their parents if appropriate.
Day to day Service:
- To help ensure that there is a sufficient range and quantity of appropriate food, drinks and snacks available to the children.
- To help ensure that there is a range of activities and play opportunities appropriate to the ages and interests of the children.
- To help plan and provide activities to develop children’s emotional, physical, social and intellectual capabilities.
Welfare of Children:
- To look after the individual needs and welfare of the children.
- To take positive steps to promote safety and to ensure that proper precautions are taken to prevent accidents.
- To promote the good health of the children and administer first aid if required.
- To take steps to promote the welfare and development of any child who has been identified as having Special Needs, in partnership with the parents and other relevant parties.
- To ensure that children’s behaviour is managed in a way that promotes their welfare and development.
The Nursery & Pre-School After School Supervisor should also be prepared to undertake other such specific duties that may be assigned by the Head or members of the Senior Leadership Team.
