Tired of agency-filled yards, unfamiliar trucks and nights away from home? This isn't that.
We're a 90-year-old family haulier with depots in Duxford and Bedford, and we run a simple operation. You get your own allocated vehicle, a familiar route, and you're back home every night. Multi-drop pallet and groupage work across local and medium-distance runs, Monday to Friday, 40-hour guarantee. No agency drivers have been used here in over six years. When you're on holiday, your vehicle stays in the family- covered by one of our employed relief drivers or apprentices, not a stranger from an agency.
Pay is £15.50 (18t) and £15.75 (26t) per hour plus a £5 daily meal allowance, up to £42,000 including overtime. If you fancy tramping, we also operate 26t vehicles with nights out available for those who want them.
You'll need an LGV C licence and valid CPC.
New passes welcome, we run an apprenticeship programme and have a mentoring structure in place for drivers starting out.
You'll be comfortable with digital tacho and a smartphone app for ePODs, and you'll take pride in turning up on time and leaving customers happy.
We look after our drivers. Uniform and PPE provided, company pension, overtime premiums, CPC training, and a social calendar that includes; Truckfest, Christmas and summer parties and family fun days.
We also run an expanding electric fleet for drivers who want to be part of where haulage is heading, with full training provided.
Pay: £15.50-£15.75 per hour
