Compliance Officer | Brentwood, Essex
Office Based | Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We’re looking for our next Compliance Officer
Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and someone who enjoys making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes?
We’re seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team in Brentwood. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing processes, and ensuring high standards are consistently maintained.
You will play an important part in supporting safe recruitment practices and ensuring all compliance requirements are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with current regulations.
The role
As Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining compliance processes, including:
- Supporting candidates through each stage of the compliance journey.
- Carrying out regular candidate check-ins and follow-ups.
- Reviewing documentation and ensuring all required checks are completed.
- Completing compliance audits and identifying any areas requiring action.
- Managing records relating to DBS checks, Right to Work checks, training, and onboarding.
- Ensuring staff remain up to date with mandatory and role-specific training.
- Maintaining accurate information across internal systems, including Salesforce.
- Preparing compliance updates and reports for management.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Confident communicating with candidates and colleagues over the phone and via email.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Experienced in administration, compliance, recruitment, or a similar environment.
A background in children's services, social care, safeguarding, or knowledge of Ofsted requirements would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
