Summary of Role:
The purpose of this role is to support the safe and efficient delivery of project works by managing and coordinating the full permit and work authorisation process within the Dalkia Permit Team. This includes producing and maintaining work authorisations, work packs, and permits to ensure compliance and operational readiness across the project. The role works closely with multiple Dalkia departments, providing guidance and support to enable smooth workforce mobilisation and the continuous progression of activities into new areas. Operating within a fast-paced and evolving project environment, the position requires a proactive and adaptable approach to changing demands, as well as the coordination, management, and potential issuing of high-risk permits—such as Hot Works, Confined Space Entry, and Working at Height—while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensuring Dalkia's work authorisations and permits are in place and compliant with the required scope of work.
Liaising with Dalkia teams, contractors, and the client to support effective coordination and communication.
Using work control and permit systems, including P2W (HPC's Permit to Work software) and Site Assist, to manage and coordinate works.
Collaborating with contractor organisations and client teams to drive continuous improvement and develop internal processes and procedures in line with evolving project requirements and scope.
Acting as a key point of contact across Dalkia, supporting blue-collar and white-collar personnel, as well as Senior Management and Leadership Teams, to ensure effective communication and operational alignment.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:General Experience:
MS Office 365 proficiency
Experience and confidence in working and liaising with contractor companies and client representatives on projects, or in other professional settings.
Manipulation, Creation and maintenance of data/metadata to assist with clear coordination of works.
General Qualifications:
CCNSG / MAPS
Relevant experience in work controls, compliance
Permit related:
Use of P2W at HPC (advantageous) or other work controls/authorisation/permit software
Working understanding of work authorisations and permits, from their creation through to cancellation/work stop or complete
