- Monday to Sunday: 18:00pm -20:00pm (2 hours daily ONLY)
Nursing Direct is currently recruiting a compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join a dedicated homecare package supporting a female client in Purley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and reliable Healthcare Assistant who is looking for consistent evening work and is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a home environment.
You will be supporting a female quadriplegic client within her own home, working alongside the client's main carer during the evening routine. Your role will be to provide practical assistance while ensuring the client's comfort, dignity, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the main carer with the client's evening and bedtime routine.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
- Provide moving and handling support using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Deliver personal care with dignity, respect, and compassion.
- Promote a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate records where required.
- Adhere to safeguarding, infection control, and health and safety policies.
Essential requirements:
- Female Healthcare Assistant (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010).
- Minimum 6 months' UK care experience in a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker role.
- Previous experience in homecare or complex care.
- Confident with moving and handling.
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care.
- Valid Enhanced DBS (issued within the last 12 months or registered on the Update Service).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be local to the Purley area or able to travel reliably.
