Duffryn FFrwd Manor, Nantgarw (near Pontypridd and Caerphilly) located just off the M4 corridor and we are privately owned and have been operating for almost 30 years. We are looking to appoint an experienced maintenance worker on a bank contract. However, if you are not fully experienced then training would be provided. This role may particularly interest a mature individual who is retired or considering retirement as it offers flexibility and varied work.
Key responsibilities:
Organising recycling of waste and waste for collection. Carrying out routine sewer checks, painting and decorating, assisting with laminate flooring installation, performing general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing and electrical repairs. Conducting fire alarm checks, undertaking some gardening duties, completing administration tasks. Driving the company vehicle to drop off and collect resident's prescriptions etc.
We are looking for someone who is "hands on" willing to work independently or part of a group and someone who is reliable, organised, caring and understanding as you will be working in a Care Home with vulnerable adults.
