Recruitment Consultant – Construction (Temporary Trades & Labour)
Love building relationships and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Join our friendly, close-knit team!
We're looking for an enthusiastic Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Temporary Trades & Labour division. If you're driven, enjoy speaking with people, and want to build a rewarding career in construction recruitment, we'd love to hear from you.
We're proud of our welcoming, family-feel office where everyone supports each other and celebrates success together. Based just a 5-minute walk from the train station, our location is ideal for commuting and for getting out to visit clients and sites throughout the day. We believe recruitment is about people, so you'll spend plenty of time building relationships face-to-face and not just behind a desk.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Recruitment Consultant, you'll play a key role in supplying skilled trades and labour staff to construction projects across the region.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting and placing temporary trades and labour operatives across a variety of construction sites.
- Building strong relationships with existing clients while developing new business opportunities.
- Visiting client sites to understand their workforce requirements and strengthen partnerships.
- Sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals and your own candidate database.
- Interviewing, registering and screening candidates, ensuring compliance and right-to-work documentation is completed.
- Managing bookings, shift cover and last minute requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Matching the right candidates to the right roles while providing excellent support throughout the assignment.
- Maintaining accurate records using CRM and recruitment systems.
- Keeping up to date with market trends and identifying opportunities to grow your desk.
What We're Looking For
- Previous recruitment experience, ideally within Construction Trades & Labour or another fast-paced temporary recruitment sector.
- A confident communicator who enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and candidates.
- A proactive attitude with the drive to develop new business and grow your desk.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Comfortable using social media and recruitment technology to source candidates.
- A resilient, positive approach and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence preferred (but not essential).
- Right to work in the UK
Why Join Us?
- Friendly, supportive, family-feel team.
- Office just a 5-minute walk from the train station.
- Plenty of opportunities to get out on client and site visits.
- Uncapped earning potential with a competitive commission structure.
- Ongoing training, development and genuine career progression.
- A fast-paced, rewarding environment where no two days are the same.
If you're ready to join a business that values its people, rewards hard work and offers genuine career progression, we'd love to hear from you!
