Access Your Care is a well-established leading home care provider in North Somerset working with North Somerset Council to provide reablement based services.
Reablement Assistants work with clients who have been discharged home from hospital, working with their clients for up to six weeks, supporting them in regaining their independence.
Clients set a goal to achieve, then the reablement team help them achieve it, this is a role where you will be able to see in real time a client regaining their confidence as they get used to living at home again.
Reablement Assistants support with a range of tasks including:
- Working towards their clients reablement based goal.
- Assisting clients with personal care.
- Supporting clients with daily activities.
- Administering medication.
- Nutrition and hydration support.
- Using specialist equipment and correct manual handling procedures to assist clients who are less mobile.
- Offering companionship, support and a friendly ear, giving clients social nourishment.
- Working with internal and external professionals to provide the highest quality of care for clients.
This role covers the entirety of North Somerset, so a full driving licence and your own vehicle is required.
Whether you’re an experienced carer or new to the sector we would like to hear from you. We will support you throughout your career with:
- A weeklong paid classroom-based induction, giving you the knowledge you need for the role.
- An extensive shadowing period of 2-3 weeks with a senior carer, to put what you’ve learned into practice.
- Ongoing support and yearly refresher training.
- Regular team meetings and updates.
- Fully funded qualifications up to level 5.

Financials
- This is a salaried role, starting at £29,047.20 for your base pay.
- Drivers get paid 45p per mile mileage, worth up to £4,500 per year.
- Get the proud to care bonus, paid to you every six months for working for a North Somerset strategic provider. Worth up to £1,117.20 per year.
- Add that all together – £29,047.20+£4,500+£1,117.20=up to £34,664.40 earnings per year if working full time.
- Receive a £1,000 joining bonus for coming on board with us.

- You will be working on a rolling 4 on, 4 off rota.
- Your working day will be 07:00-14:00 then back out from 17:00-22:00
