Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplying the fabrication department with the correct materials and kitting parts ready for fabrication.
This role requires a strong understanding of a heavy engineering workshop.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience with overhead cranes
Duties
- Loading, and unloading of workbenches within our fabrication facility.
- Reading engineering drawings to identify the correct parts required.
- Loading items onto trays ready for shotblasting
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely, including moving bulky or heavy items across the facility
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Experience
- Proven ability to operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with a heavy engineering facility
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings will be an advantage
The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth warehouse operations through effective materials handling.
Pay: Up to £13.50 per hour
