GMC-Registered Doctor – Dermatology & Medical Aesthetics
Laser Garden London is a growing laser and medical aesthetics clinic based in Shoreditch. We are looking for a knowledgeable, professional and client-focused GMC-registered doctor with experience or postgraduate training in dermatology and medical aesthetics.
This is a part-time, self-employed position suitable for a doctor interested in developing a dermatology and injectable-treatment service within an established clinic.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in-person dermatology and skin consultations
- Take medical histories and perform comprehensive skin assessments
- Assess and manage common skin concerns, including acne and rosacea, within your professional competence
- Create personalised treatment and skincare plans
- Provide appropriate clinical recommendations and follow-up care
- Prescribe or recommend appropriate treatment where legally permitted and clinically indicated
- Perform injectable skin treatments, including skin boosters, polynucleotides and mesotherapy
- Provide clear information about treatment benefits, risks, contraindications and aftercare
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Obtain informed consent before treatments
- Monitor treatment outcomes and manage complications appropriately
- Recommend suitable professional skincare products and in-clinic treatments
- Support the development of clinical protocols and dermatology services within the clinic
- Participate in occasional educational and promotional content where agreed
Essential requirements
- Active GMC registration and a current UK licence to practise
- Medical degree recognised for UK practice
- Relevant dermatology training, qualification or demonstrable clinical experience
- Experience assessing and managing acne and rosacea
- Recognised qualifications in injectable aesthetic treatments
- Practical experience with skin boosters and mesotherapy
- Professional indemnity insurance covering all services provided
- Full right to work in the United Kingdom
- Strong knowledge of consent, infection control, patient confidentiality and UK GDPR
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Confident, professional and compassionate communication with clients
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high clinical and ethical standards
Desirable experience
- MSc, postgraduate diploma or specialist training in dermatology
- Experience with polynucleotide treatments
- Experience with pigmentation, acne scarring and other common skin concerns
- Experience developing personalised skincare programmes
- Knowledge of professional skincare products
- Experience working in a private dermatology, aesthetics or laser clinic
- Existing prescribing arrangements or the ability to prescribe independently where clinically appropriate
Payment
- £25 per hour for work with clients introduced or booked by the clinic
- 10% commission on the net value of cosmetic products sold following your recommendation
- 5% commission on the net value of treatments purchased following your consultation and recommendation
Commission is calculated excluding VAT, refunds, chargebacks, cancellations and no-shows.
The successful practitioner will work on a self-employed independent-contractor basis and will submit a monthly invoice. Valid invoices will be paid within seven calendar days.
