Front of House / Café Team Member

Wymondham Windmill is a heritage destination and family-run business set within 10 acres of beautiful Leicestershire countryside. Alongside our busy café, we offer boutique shops, creative workshops, private events, weddings, and luxury B&B stays.
We pride ourselves on delivering a warm welcome, great service, and high-quality homemade food to every guest who visits.
We’re looking for an experienced hospitality team member who can be a true all-rounder and thrive in a fast-paced, friendly environment.
The Role
- 4–5 days per week (approx. 30–42 hours)
- Weekend & bank holiday availability essential
- Overtime and additional shifts available
- Salary dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers in a warm, professional manner
- Prepare and serve beverages, with a strong focus on coffee
- Maintain high standards across the café and event spaces
- Set up for bookings including afternoon teas and private functions
- Deliver excellent customer service and guest experience
- Take orders, make recommendations, and assist customers confidently
- Keep the workspace clean, organised, and safe
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning and pot washing
- Use (or learn) our tablet-based till system
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hospitality experience is a must. Ideally at least 2 years experience
- Confident barista skills (not essential but ideal)
- Friendly, professional, and reliable
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Good attention to detail and punctuality
- Comfortable taking feedback and maintaining high standards
