About The Role:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take a leading role in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise, supporting project teams and helping shape successful outcomes for our clients.
You will work closely with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions, while supporting the development of junior engineers and technicians within the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the technical delivery and approval of civil infrastructure projects across a range of sectors.
- Managing and coordinating project outputs to ensure schemes are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Producing and reviewing technical designs, reports and project documentation.
- Delivering infrastructure designs throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept and planning through to detailed design and construction.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
- Reviewing and checking engineering outputs to ensure quality, compliance and best practice.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across civil engineering, transport, environmental and building disciplines.
- Building strong relationships with clients, local authorities, statutory bodies and other stakeholders.
- Supporting the continued growth and success of the Ashford Civil Infrastructure team.

About You:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions and is looking to take the next step in their career within a growing and collaborative team.
You will have:
- An MEng or BEng qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional chartership.
- Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure design projects.
- Strong technical expertise in highway and drainage infrastructure design.
- Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
- Proven experience working closely with clients, technical teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers and managing team workloads.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
- Experience using design software such as Civils 3D and MicroDrainage would be advantageous.
- Experience with utility coordination and engagement with regulators, drainage authorities and highway authorities.
