The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be a trusted role model, mentor and advocate for pupils with additional needs, helping them develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to succeed.
Working closely with teachers and wider professionals, you'll create engaging learning experiences and provide personalised support that enables every child to flourish.
You'll:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive and meaningful learning experiences
- Work one-to-one and with small groups to provide personalised academic and emotional support
- Deliver targeted interventions that promote progress, confidence and independence
- Encourage positive behaviour using nurturing, child-centred approaches
- Support pupils with reading, writing, communication and classroom learning
- Observe progress and contribute to individual learning plans and pupil records
- Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Play an active role in shaping the culture and success of our growing school community

Essential
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, proactive and resilient approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
Desirable
- Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism or complex needs
- Passion for developing a long-term career within specialist education
