Join the Close Brothers Retail Division where you will be responsible for ensuring the development, ownership, and governance of the Retail Division’s frameworks that underpin Group Policies and Standards.
Working as part of the Governance, Risk & Control team our ideal team member will have previous experience of working in risk, controls, governance, or policy management within a regulated environment with excellent organisational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand the Group Policies and Standards framework and relevant Retail requirements, and current Retail policy environment.

Develop, write, and maintain Retail Division frameworks that underpin and align to Group Policies and Standards, ensuring frameworks are clear, practical, and tailored to the operational needs of the Retail businesses.

Oversee divisional framework implementation across all Retail businesses.

Monitor and challenge first line compliance with Group Policies, Standards, and divisional frameworks.

Maintain clear and auditable traceability between Group Policies and Standard and the Divisional framework.

Partner with first line stakeholders across Retail businesses to support effective implementation of policy and frameworks.

Conduct a comprehensive review of existing divisional policy and procedural documentation.

Set the tone within the function/business by encouraging an inclusive culture and role modelling the company values and expected behaviours
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

Exceptional stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing capabilities at all levels of an organisation.

Demonstrable experience in writing and implementing frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.

A strong appreciation of first line control environments and governance expectations.

Experience overseeing or assessing compliance with policies and standards.
-
An ability to interpret Group-level requirements and translate them into practical divisional frameworks.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE

Worked within a Chief Controls Office or centralised governance function.

Knowledge of FCA regulatory expectations and Consumer Duty principles.

Experience managing traceability or policy mapping structures.

Familiarity with GRC systems or policy management tools.

Data analysis tools exposure (Power BI, SQL)

Professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, IRM, ORM, AQ).
