Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing team performance, ensuring safety standards are upheld, and maintaining high levels of operational efficiency. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct regular feedback sessions to promote continuous improvement.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance across all areas of work.
- Assist in training new employees and organising ongoing training programmes for existing staff.
- Manage shift handovers effectively to ensure seamless communication between teams.
- Address any operational issues promptly, escalating concerns when necessary to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and operational metrics.
- Support the implementation of company policies and procedures at shift level.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a similar industry.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities swiftly.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications related to health and safety or management are desirable but not essential.
- A proactive attitude with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail. Pay: £12.21-£14.87 per hour
