Primary School Wrap Around Manager & Activity Leader
£15/hour - 20 hours per week minimum – 7:30-8:45 and 15:15-18:00 Mon-Fri Term Time. Potential for extra hours, up to 45 hours a week, in the school holidays at our camps.
With 15 years’ experience in schools, clubs and camps, we are experts in delivering active and enriching childcare. We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and creative applicant to assist with the wrap around care activities at our sites in the High Wycombe and the surrounding area.
About the role:
We are looking for somebody to work as part of a team of wrap around staff who will provide a safe and stimulating environment and encourage active, creative and imaginative activities. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of enriching activities, such as arts & crafts, alongside activities delivered by a dedicated sports coach.
- Using initiative to differentiate activities, ensuring full inclusion for all abilities and ages.
- Creating an environment that children want to be in, and one that doesn’t feel like an extension of school.
- Assisting children with homework.
- Preparation of basic light, healthy meals.
- Some administrative duties.
Candidates will have:
- Experience working with children.
- Ideally a qualification related to working with children, such as a childcare qualification, sports coaching certificate, etc. This is not essential if the candidate proves to be competent, and some training will be provided.
- Ideally a car so they can travel to other sites if needed for additional work in the holidays. Again, not essential if the candidate lives in close proximity to the school.
- Confidence in developing and delivering a range of fun activities.
- Good behaviour management skills.
- A friendly personality with the ability to build good working relationships with school staff, parents and participants in sessions.
- DBS checks, first aid/safeguarding training are desirable but not essential as we can arrange these.
Job Location: Hight Wycombe and surrounding areas.
This part time position pays £15/hr. The successful applicant will receive some mentoring in this role.
