Job Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Security & Custody Facilities Management Specialist to join a high-profile blue light services contract, supporting the delivery of contractual, statutory and operational compliance across a complex public sector estate in Northern Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Compliance Manager and Specialist Facilities Management team, providing specialist support across the Security and Custody functions.
You will play a key role in supporting maintenance planning, contractor management, inspections, asset management and compliance assurance, while working closely with operational teams, the Client, contractors and internal stakeholders.
The role will also provide specialist input into refurbishment, improvement and lifecycle replacement projects, ensuring operational, maintenance and compliance requirements are considered throughout the project lifecycle.
What you’ll do:
Facilities Management & Compliance

Support the delivery of Security and Custody compliance-related services across the estate.

Assist with the planning and coordination of planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, remedial works and minor works.

Undertake site inspections, audits, condition assessments and compliance checks.

Support the investigation and resolution of defects, hazards, compliance issues and audit findings.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of Security and Custody procedures, standards and documentation.

Support Security-related activities including asset management, maintenance planning, business continuity and compliance monitoring.
Custody & Operational Support
-
Support Custody-related activities including closure planning, maintenance coordination and site inspections.
-
Assist with condition and ligature inspections and maintenance coordination.
-
Support the safe return of facilities to operational use following maintenance activities.

Provide technical support and advice to operational stakeholders on Security and Custody maintenance matters.
-
Provide resilience across the Security and Custody functions during periods of absence, increased workload or operational demand.
Contractor & Asset Management
-
Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with maintenance standards, site procedures, permit-to-work requirements and contractual obligations.

Support the maintenance of accurate Security and Custody asset records, compliance documentation and maintenance data within CAFM and associated systems.

Assist with monthly, annual and ad-hoc compliance and performance reporting.

Support the delivery of maintenance services in line with contractual KPIs and service standards.
Projects & Technical Support

Provide Security and Custody subject matter expertise to refurbishment, improvement and lifecycle replacement projects.

Review proposed designs, specifications and technical submissions to ensure operational, maintenance and compliance requirements are considered.

Support Project Managers and design teams by providing advice on maintainability, asset standards, operational requirements and specialist facility systems.

Participate in design reviews, commissioning activities, inspections and handover processes where Security or Custody expertise is required.

Ensure relevant asset information, maintenance requirements and operational considerations are incorporated into project handover documentation.
Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain positive working relationships with the Client, contractors, operational users and internal stakeholders.

Work collaboratively with multiple teams to resolve issues, manage risks and support continuous improvement.
