Roband is a company that specialises in the design, development, and manufacture of electronic power supply systems principally for the defence and aerospace markets.
A vacancy has arisen for a hands-on Manual Machine Operator to support the manufacturing team based at our successful Crawley site. This role involves the understanding, setting and operating the companies manual metal work machines and completing sub-assembly operations Liaison with internal customers and external suppliers in support of production plans, and company targets.
Responsibilities
· The accurate interpretation of engineering drawings.
· Effective expediting to ensure parts are manufactured in time and right first time.
· Setting and operating the manual machines in-line with company procedures.
· Perform sub-assembly operations consistently and accurately.
· Liaison both internally and externally to support resolution of quality related issues and problems.
· Perform basic machinery maintenance operations.
· Abide by company Health and Safety guidance.
Key requirements
· Ideally, applicants will have a minimum of two years’ experience within a Manufacturing, Assembly or Fabrication environment.
· Experience with manual machine tools (Lathes, Mills, Punches, Presses, etc) is a distinct advantage; however, training will be made available.
· The ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
· The ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing process documents is essential.
· Full driving licence and own transport.

Hours:
8.00 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Monday - Thursday
8.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. Friday
Pay: From £27,000.00 per year
