United KingdomRemote / Inverness (with regular filming across the Highlands)
Part-time (2 days per week)
Do you love creating content?
Are you always spotting content ideas, filming videos on your phone or thinking about how you’d edit something differently?
At Planit Scotland, our social media department is growing, and we’re looking for a Part-Time Social & Video Content Creator to grow with it.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in content creation and marketing. You’ll work alongside our Campaign & Social Executive, helping create engaging content for a wide range of clients across the Highlands and beyond.
You don’t need agency experience, but you do need to love creating content. Whether you’ve built your own social media channels, created videos for TikTok or Instagram, completed college projects or simply enjoy making content in your spare time, we’d love to see your work.
This role isn’t about expensive cameras or polished corporate filming. It’s about creativity. We believe great content comes from ideas, storytelling and understanding what works on social media – not the most expensive equipment.
As the department grows, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your wider marketing skills, gain experience across different industries and take on more responsibility.
Your Role: Creating, Capturing & Growing
You’ll:
- Support the delivery of social media content for a wide range of clients.
- Film engaging content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Edit engaging short-form videos that capture attention and tell great stories.
- Capture photography and behind-the-scenes content during client visits, filming days and events.
- Prepare and organise content ready for publication.
- Work alongside our Campaign & Social Executive to help bring creative ideas and campaigns to life.
- Help keep projects organised across our internal systems and workflows.
- Develop your understanding of what makes content perform across different social media platforms.
- Continue developing your skills while taking on more responsibility as your confidence grows.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s creative, enthusiastic and excited to build a career in content creation and marketing.
Previous agency or marketing experience isn’t essential. We’re far more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn than someone who ticks every box.
You’ll ideally have:
- A genuine passion for creating content and social media.
- Confidence editing short-form video content using Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar editing software.
- An interest in filming and photography.
- A creative eye and an instinct for capturing engaging content.
- Confidence in communicating with clients and building positive relationships.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn, take feedback and continually improve.
- The ability to work independently while thriving as part of a collaborative team.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client locations across the Highlands.
Bonus Points
These aren’t essential, but we’d love to see:
- Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or TikTok.
- Experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- An interest in AI and how it can support creative workflows.
- Photography experience.
- Motion graphics or animation experience.
What We Offer
When you join Planit Scotland, you’ll become part of a growing creative team that believes in developing people as much as producing great work.
You’ll receive:
- A part-time role (2 days per week) with the opportunity to grow as the department grows.
- Hands-on experience working with a wide variety of clients and industries.
- Ongoing mentoring and coaching from our Campaign & Social Executive.
- Opportunities to develop your content creation, social media and wider marketing skills.
- Flexible working.
- Company pension.
- Company events.
What Success Looks Like
We don’t expect you to know everything on day one.
Success in this role isn’t about having years of experience or knowing all the answers. It’s about being curious, asking questions, taking on feedback and wanting to improve every day.
The right person will enjoy getting stuck in, take pride in producing great work and be excited to learn from the team around them. As your confidence grows, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and continue developing your skills across content creation, social media and marketing.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
