Lead Dental Nurse
We are looking for a Lead Dental nurse to join our friendly team.
Job Summary
We require a motivated and enthusiastic lead dental nurse to work alongside our implant clinicians & nurses to help with the efficient preparation and running of all surgical procedures. We are looking for a nurse with post registration qualifications in radiography and/or sedation.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Supervise and support the dental nursing team, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
- Assist dentists during procedures, providing high-quality chairside support.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the clinical environment, including sterilisation and infection control procedures.
Patient Care
- Ensure patients receive excellent care and support throughout their treatment journey.
- Address patient concerns and provide information on dental procedures and post-treatment care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.
Administrative Duties
- Manage the scheduling and allocation of work for the dental nursing team.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Health Improvement Scotland standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory of dental supplies.
Training and Development
- Provide training and mentorship to trainee dental nurses and new staff members.
- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the dental nursing team.
- Conduct performance appraisals and support the professional development of team members.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure the practice complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Stay updated with changes in dental regulations and implement necessary adjustments in practice protocols.

Pay: From £18.50 per hour
