Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part‑Time Admin / Accounting Assistant to support our finance and administrative teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in financial administration within a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, data entry, and administrative duties, contributing to the smooth operation of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software
- Support accounts payable processes by verifying invoices and processing payments accurately
- Help prepare financial reports and statements as required
- Maintain organised records of transactions and correspondence
- Support general administrative tasks including filing, scheduling, and correspondence management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of accounting duties
- Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies promptly
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday or PeopleSoft is highly desirable
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures
- Familiarity with financial services terminology and processes
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior experience or familiarity with accounting software is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
