Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the care home’s operations, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and regulations
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individual care plans that promote independence and well-being for residents
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and accuracy in line with legal requirements
- Coordinate specialized care services such as dementia and Alzheimer's care to meet residents’ unique needs
- Monitor quality assurance processes, conduct audits, and implement improvements to enhance service delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff records, and regulatory compliance
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a strong understanding of senior care practices
- Extensive knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies
- Demonstrated management skills with experience supervising teams within a care home or similar setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Familiarity with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and compliance requirements
- Competence in creating comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs
- Experience in medication administration, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies
- Knowledge of home care services and how they integrate within residential settings
