Vacancy: Associate Project Manager (Store Operations Apprentice)
We are seeking a dynamic Associate Project Manager to join our team in a dual-action paid apprenticeship role. This opportunity allows you to develop essential project management skills in a fast-paced retail IT environment while taking on hands-on store leadership.

- Hours: 25–30 hours per week
- Salary: £9.00 per hour (Above National Apprenticeship Wage)

- Official Certification: A fully accredited Associate Project Manager qualification.
- Leadership Competencies: Proven experience in staff supervision and taking full ownership of retail operations.
- Project Lifecycle Skills: The practical ability to plan, execute, monitor, and document business initiatives.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern project management tools, ERP systems, and internal ticketing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Leadership: Take full ownership of daily shop operations, including securely opening and closing the premises.
- Team Management: Supervise staff on shift, manage timelines, and ensure organizational standards and daily duties are met efficiently.
- Project Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute store operations projects, actively balancing project progression with day-to-day shop requirements.
- System & Quality Control: Regularly check tickets, monitor internal systems, and conduct root cause analysis to identify project risks or issues.
- Schedule & Resource Management: Support project scheduling and cost tracking using tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Workday, or SAP.
- Communication & Task Management: Gather project requirements from stakeholders, handle essential daily administrative tasks, and facilitate team communication via SharePoint, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
Skills & Requirements
- A strong passion for IT and computer repairs is highly desirable.
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to manage small teams effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to juggle multiple operational and project tasks.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn project management software (Jira, MS Project) and visualization tools (Visio).
- Familiarity with content management systems (SharePoint, Salesforce) and project methodologies (SAFe, Waterfall).
- Reliability, effective communication skills, and the responsibility to independently manage the shop's daily rhythm.
